So, i bought a new case and sold the older one that had some LED fans on it, but i decided not to use LED fans on this new case bcs... as far as my experience went, they aren't exactly that bright anyway. So i was wondering, how do people achieve that glowing case appearance? Someone told me to use LED strips, but i couldn't find anything that was shorter than 3 Meters and theorically i would have to buy some kind of plug, cut my led strip, put it all over my case, then plug it on the plug i bought, cut the extra cables, and somehow weld OR use some kind of duct tape on the plug to make sure it didn't fall or something.

That actually sounds like a horrible and laughable option. Any ideas of how am i supposed to make my case look like a blue christmas tree that doesn't include almost half an hour of time, duct tape or welding machine and some weird PSU cables and plugs? Thanks. :D

If you want a plug and go solution Cable mod has a lot of good options, no need for soldering or cutting to length.

Modern Led strips are either adhesive or magnetic and you just plug them onto your mobo or through a usually included adapter to a sata connector

Do pepole still buy that?

Yes they do. Not everyone has last gen higher end motherboards with rgb headers and there aren't much alternatives that are programmable through software other than the corsair lightning node. The hue+ is still very popular, especially now with people also adding rgb fans to their lightshow.

OK thanks for the answers, yall! Just a noob question... What specific slot do the led strip go? I mean, where do i plug it on the power supply?

It will be either molex or sata, sata being the more common option I see theses days on the PSU.

Image result for sata power
