So in the latest WAN Show Linus mentioned that the only reason he owns a Blu ray Drive is for ripping movies.  Is there a specific program that's THE software for Blu ray ripping?  I've paid for a couple random programs over the years but none of them have worked 100% for me so I gave up.

MakeMKV?

Definitely the best in my opinion, I ripped my entire collection of Blurays and DVDs with it and never ran into any bigger problem.

MakeMKV + Handbrake is the way to go if you want to back up your movie collection.

MakeMKV + Handbrake, along with a copy of DVDFab for those stubborn BluRays with newer encryption keys.
