GPU opinions required to complete my build.

truemax

So just received ryzen 1600 today, powered on, no smoke, all good. Now i am missing GPU.

In my mind i have only two options rx 460 and 1050ti (of course you can offer different opinion)

What am i going to be doing with my pc?

Play games of course. Only game i can play on my junk PC(hp110-001ea (like cmon what can you play on this PC)) is CS:GO on low settings barely reaching 60fps.

Never played any other games, so there is a lot of games that i want to try. (Gta5, Forza Horizon3) and much more that i am not aware of.

Not really into streaming though. But once build is finished ill do a stream just to see how PC is handling it.

1050Ti is a good option, maybe a 1060 6GB if you have some more money.

1050TI or a 1060 6GB. If you're OK buying used, try to get a 970 or 980TI.

Rx 460 is an old card, you can get a 560 or a 1050 Ti. Both will suit you well. If you can afford get a GTX 1060.

Well looks like it will be 1050ti , thanks for telling that 460 is an old card. 1060 is an option but i'd have to save money for 1 more week. Thursday wednesday i could order 1050ti. This build is really long, i am not very good with saving money. £ here £ there and 30 is gone. Thats why it took me 5months to save 600 :D

Wait wait wait if you can save for ONE more week to get a 1060 do it. The 1060 is massively more powerful than the 1050ti. The 1060 3GB is about 50% more powerful than the 1050ti. If you're going to be using this PC for years to come, the extra week of waiting will be worth it.

Yes... Save money and order the 1060. Their GPU's are not just simple as one digit "5" & "6". 1060 is in the level of 980. If that is just a week for you then wait. It's going to worth it and your PC will live longer.

Checked userbenchmark site looks like 1060 with 3gb almost destroys 1050ti and i looked only at gb so was thinking 4 is better than 3 :D

Changed my mind. 1060 3gb lets hope thursday i get paid decently and maybe i will order it :) but i have a question is there a chance that my games will look terrible because my monitor connects only vga and is 8years old? I plan ofc upgrading monitor as well after i get gpu. Monitor is hp 2009v
