Help with ethernet limited speed

So last week my ethernet port died and in the meanwhile i had to use one of those usb wifi sticks. After a few days my pcie ethernet card arrived and it's working perfectly fine. The only problem is that now my ethernet connection shows up the ssid name of the wifi and it's somehow limiting my speed to 450mbps. And for some reason my ethernet port on the mobo came back to life and it's working again, so i tested that too and i'm still limited to 450mbps. Before connecting my pc via wifi i didn't have this problem and i could reach 1gbps without a problem, downloading up to 85MBps. Do you guys know how can i solve this problem? And why is that after using wifi once now my ethernet is limited to the 2.4ghz wifi speed?

Is your Wifi adapter still connected? Sounds like it.

Windows is supposed to prefer Wired over Wireless but it's possible that something got messed up and it now prefers wireless for some reason.

Go into your network and sharing center, on the left menu choose {change adaptor settings}... then right click the wifi adaptor, and then from the context menu choose {disable}

My adapter is no longer connected to the pc, i'm using only the wired connection.

what is your setup?
Do you by any chance have a access point and routers which both have DHCP running?
Try turning off all network infrastructure devices (modems, routers, AP's etc) and leave the off for a minute or so (if you have dhcp servers on multiple device make sure you remove all leases too). The boot them up again in order in which they appear in the line (so first the modem, then your core router etc). now boot up the computer and see if that makes any difference.
