So my current PC refuses to post, and I currently don't feel like messing with it, my day is already really crappy so i don't care right now. My question is will my windows install get screwed up if I put it on another PC?

On windows 10 you have to just reactivate, anything else its a coin toss (win7, 8.1)

Nope, it'll add new necessary drivers. I have an SSD that I use specifically for hardware testing of computers. It's been through probably 100 different hardware configs with no noticeable problems yet.

If it doesnt work, you get a brand new fresh install of windows. Nothing feels better than a fresh install especially if you have nothing but windows on it

I'm old school. I still do a clean reinstall of Windows when switching motherboards. I don't know if it's really necessary, but it makes me feel better.

That said, I have a crappy 80GB HDD with Windows 10 on it that moves from PC to PC for testing, hardware debug and occasionally just to see if I can make Windows 10 play nice with a Pentium 4 and 512MB of DDR2-slowhundred

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

I love hooking an SSD up to old systems just to bottleneck CPU's. It's really fun :D

Yeah, I do that to. This probably won't last more than about 3 days though :P
