Getting a razer blade

I'm getting a razer blade and I know they have issues but honestly, I'm still gonna get one. Should I wait for Q1 2018 to see if they release a new model or should I get one now? I was also thinking that they might announce a new model on November 1st. What do you guys think, should I wait?

But poor QC, poor build quality, poor customer support, and it's expensive

There are many better choices

have the 2017 Blade FHD, and I find that it performs amazingly not only for it's price range, but overall compared to any other laptop I could find. However, out of the box (for me at least) it was almost unusable and I had to invest a lot of time into tweaking it and ended up solving all the problems I could find. I posted a first-time setup guide on the steps I took here which I hope can be helpful if you do decide to purchase the device.

I can say that my device had no quality control issues (aside from a tiny little chip in the black finish on the inside) and that it has been completely reliable for a power-user like me. I use it as a daily driver for education, where I get 10-11 hours of battery out of it during productivity use the way I'm setup, and as my main system when not out and about plugged in performing cpu and graphically intensive tasks.

I own a Macbook Pro and a Dell XPS and they come nowhere near the usability of the Razer. Honestly, I have tried all 3 as full-time daily drivers and the Razer performed the best by far in all metrics I could find including battery life (when performing productivity-based tasks like streaming video, browsing with 40 or so tabs in chrome, and running around 10 instances of Microsoft Word as well as OneNote).

Also, I have no personal experience with Aorus at all, but I was saving up to buy an Aorus X7 for 3 years and in the end decided not to purchase one after extensive research due to the overwhelming number of quality control issues with the keyboard.

Hope this helps!

The problem is in the internals. Poor VRM design etc. Also overpriced.
