Hello LTT,

I'm sorry if I overwhelmed you with my build, but this something special for me since its been over 7 years since the last time I've built a PC...

Here are the parts and there are few notes that I will mention 59de270ee4456_ScreenShot2017-10-11at6_11_49PM.thumb.png.1c20d8266cc0d8680e3363b486e2d28a.png

Note #1 : Yes I have a locked CPU with a liquid cooler and a Z motherboard, well the liquid cooler is mainly for the looks, and the motherboard is because there's no other kind of motherboards available.

Note #2 : I like the color white and the idea of RGB.

Note #3 :  my budget is 9000 AED or close to 2500$ and the website I'll be buying the parts from is https://uae.microless.com

Note 4# : 750W is a lot, but there's a plan of adding a second 1080 Ti down the road.

Now you can give me your input on this build :P

Thanks.

Any reason you can't get an unlocked CPU? Perhaps even an i5-8600K?

Other than that, I think it looks pretty solid.

The locked i7 will still be better than the unlocked i5, and IIRC he's doing both gaming and editing/productivity work. So the i7 will have an edge over the i5 there.

Like @Zando Bob mentioned, I will be mostly gaming, but there will be editing involved as well. also, the 8600k is not available currently and I really don't know when it will be available soo..

fyi solid games machine.......but no mention of monitors, I only raise this opinion because its "what we see" and should be given as much thought as the PC itself as it adds greatly too gaming experience. if you have this covered, all is well and good, if not a 1080ti should handle 2k screen easily at high settings

Solid build. If the plan is to add a second gpu, an 850W psu would be better.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll see about that, but can you tell me how much power its going to consume? im planning on overclocking. FYI

You can use pcpartpicker.com to calculate the maximum draw before overclocking. If memory serves your proposed build, with an i7-8700K cpu and a second gpu comes out around 700W. Without overclocking it is unlikely the system would ever reach sustained draws this high. But one does then have to account for cpu & gpu overclocking, capacitor aging (as psu age they lose a small amount of capacity), upgrades and improvements, and the optimal draw for psu efficiency.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
