What raid card

Guest
Go to solution Solved by rhyseyness,

You're better off doing a full system upgrade and then using onboard controller for RAID 0 with 2 drives.

A decent RAID card will be more expensive than that.

A $20-40 RAID card is a waste of money.

Save for a system upgrade, then use on board controller.

Hope this helps :)

ok so i want to do raid 0 with my two drives because i can so i will do it

so what i would like to know is which one to get

my nforce board has a raid controller on it i read somewhere that it is not good to use onboard raid features is this true?

im willing to spend around £20~£40 less is better because im not rich

if its not worth buying it at this price tell me

system specs

q6600

7770

samsung hd103sj 1tb

evga nforce 780i

if there is anything else you would like to know do not hesitate to ASK ME

i might be getting some new drives and if i do i would like to implement them in my system but would i need to have a separate raid card to put them in a different raid config?

i know linus uses one should i use the same thing?

thanks :D
