So, ever since maybe 2 or so weeks ago, my computer will not update. It gives me the prompt to update Windows 10, and I usually click either snooze or later. Then, when I am ready to update, I Update and Shutdown. It goes through the update process, and in the morning I turn the computer back on. It will get to maybe 70% done with the update, then the screen just goes black. Nothing happens after that. I restart the computer, and it tries and refreshes to the last time I had the computer on and working, AKA before I tried updating it. So I get stuck in a process of updating, and failing. Any help? I've done this maybe 5 times now.

Check the summary in Event Viewer.  See if there is an error report around that time.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

I'd back up data and try a reinstall if this is a recurring issue. Otherwise have you tried waiting a bit after your screen goes black?

I waited nearly a full 24 hours after the black screen once. I will backup data on another harddrive I have after I install it today.
