It's not an OS partition, it's just a partition to store games.

You should be able to extend it just fine, but ALWAYS backup your data whenever using hard drives for any reason whatsoever. This means have a backup even if you're just looking at the drive from across the room as it sits on your dresser or bookshelf, because that drive is considered as good as dead once it's left the factory.

Hello, I was looking to extend one of my partitions since it didn't have enough room for games. I have a 5 TB drive and am trying to expand a 500 GB partition. By extending my 500 GB partition, will I lose all of my data on the partition or will the partition expand without losing data?

partially depends on if it's an OS partition, is it too inconvenient to just do a separate partition? If not here's a list of software https://www.lifewire.com/free-disk-partition-software-tools-2624950 can't tell you what's good because I haven't messed with this stuff for quite a while
