Flipping Hard Choice

I've got $1200 to burn on mobile tech, my current ideas are iPhone X + accessories for $200, S8+DJI Spark(With fun stuff) , iPhone 8P + Spark (No bonus) or some other choice. I don't care about software since I use both nearly everyday and like both.

I've got a desktop setup so I don't need one since my only change there will be to update my i7-7700k to 8700k

wtf do I do?

Don't get the iPhone X

1.) There are going to be like 3 of them

2.) You are paying a lot more for a smaller display even though its OLED

3.) The 8 and x have the same specs except the cameras.

If you want an iPhone get the 8 Plus.

If you want a phone that is clunky, breaks parity on iOS with the rest of the line up, and just plain ridiculous in terms of price, then by all means get the iPhone X. If not, the 8 lineup will serve anyone well. Also... $200 in accessories, really?

I was on another forum and the dumba**** couldn't get over the fact that I did not need one. I had thought Reddit was better than that tbh

Meh I generally just compound the remainder of my budget so if I don't find any cool stuff I just shove it into another bank acc

Chipset is mo powerful on iOS's side tho in the short term I don't see the value of a more powerful chipset

Those phones outlast in the long term so therefore you would see higher resell value thus reducing the loss on the phone.

Like most people think Oh No! $999, I have an algo for this which predicts the cost of the phone after an amount of time and over the last half decade apple products have consistently outperformed their android counterparts.

My also predicts a 64% loss over 2Y of using the phone with is better than the 84% for the S8

The Dr was comparing the iPhone 8 to the iPhone X. Both phones have the same internals except in the cameras, which makes the iPhone 8 the one to get.
