Liquid Metal + Nvidia Reference Card

Hey Guys,

are Nvidia reference coolers always made of copper? I'm just asking, because I've got a GTX 980TI reference, which is currently disassembled, and some left over liquid metal. So while it might not help with temps it isn't really any effort for me. Would be bad, if it eats through the vapor-champer though ;)

Shouldn't it be aluminum with copper hetpipes like this?

The Aluminum will deteriorate, byt the heat pipes should be fine and continue to transfer heat.

Don't think there would be an issue but I don't recall if they changed the design between the titan and the 980 cooler. Would have to have a thick coating if it was copper.
