Ok, so I'm a console peasant making the jump to Pc gaming. I'm a noob, and I'm curious to see what people think this system will be capable of.

(BEFORE READING) I am not interested in overclocking, nor am I interested at owning the highest end parts. Im just looking for an answer as to whether people think these parts will work well together and give me an enjoyable Pc gaming experience. Basically, I want to know if this system can easily outperform my ps4. My main concern is the GPU and motherboard of choice, so please be analytical of those.

Thanks and please be respectful, this is my first build as a n00b.

Will this system provide a PC gaming experience and be able to play the latest AAA games at relatively high graphics? Is it a "console killer".

Thanks

i wouldnt build ryzen if you arent overclocking, ryzens great at all but it gains a fair amount of performance from overclocking, look into faster ram aswell as that makes ryzen better

Ive been considering the overclocking thing for awhile, should I bite the bullet and get myself a B350 motherboard so I can OC it, if so, which one?

You are not biting any bullets by overclocking, I know its pretty scary especially for beginners but computers today are well built and wont break easily, even when overclocking

Don't buy that RX 570 for nearly 270USD. They are usually worth 180USD.

Find other options like RX 580 for around 250USD or GTX 1060 for around the same price too.

I know little to nothing about GPU's. Would the build benifit if i swapped the rx 570 for gtx 1060? Where do 1060s stack against the rx570. And if i do make the swap, what should i be aware of?

Thanks

GTX 1060 6GB > RX 570 4GB

GTX 1060 3GB = RX 570 4GB

RX 580 4GB = GTX 1060 6GB (9gbps)

RX 580 8GB > GTX 1060 6GB (9gbps)

Thx so much. Im thinking about swapping my motherboard for a b350 so i can overclock my ryzen. Im also probs gonna swap my rx 570 for the 6gb gtx 1060. Would this be a good build considering all the other parts? Would everything be compatible?

SSD?

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/CJM323/silicon-power-internal-hard-drive-sp120gbss3s55s25

Obviously you don't have to but it'll make your OS, most used programs and maybe a few games a lot faster to load, plus they're relatively in-expensive as of right now.

CPU: R5 3600 @ 4.4 GHz

RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3200 MHz

GPU: RTX 2080 Super

I was considering getting one down the line

For the price I'd say just get a small SSD for your OS and down the line get a larger one for more games if you're going to convert fully to PC. Even if this PC just ends up as a media/office PC for you an SSD is always nice to have.

Ill be sure to look into it. Also do you think replacing my radeon rx 570 for a msi gtx 1060 6gb is a good idea? (Dont think about the money)

Depends where you live as to how bad mining is and the better deals you can get. The 1060 is a better performing card and the extra 2gb of VRAM will allow it to more comfortable play at 1440p if thats the plan later on down the road too.

Here in the UK the cards pricing is almost identical so the 1060 is a no-brainer.
