I'm looking to upgrade my PC but every time I look to do it a new set of processors get released so I've come here for some advice.

I currently have a Intel i5 760 and I'm looking to probably sticking with Intel and also with i5 range of processors, but with the recent release of Coffee Lake I now don't know whether to upgrade straight to Coffee Lake or do what my original plan was to upgrade to Kaby Lake?

Below is what I have been looking to upgrade to for some time, but now with the release of Coffee Lake should I abandon moving to Kaby Lake and just go straight to Coffee Lake?

My computer mainly gets used for just web browsing and gaming that's why I want to stick with i5 range as I don't do anything more powerful than that.

Definetly go straight coffelake. Regarding benchmarks, the smallest i5 appears to be equal to the i7-7700 so far.

But I think so far the selection of mainboards is not present, only high end mainboards.

That's okay if you want to pick up the i5-8600k but a bit overkill (and overprice) if you don't plan on overclocking.

But since you picked the 7600K I guess you're good to go there :)

So a Z370 with the i5-8600k will be a great choice.

Well, why wouldn't you upgrade to Coffee Lake? It's the newest release and effectively makes Kaby Lake obsolete from a purchasing standpoint.

If you're gaming, I'd imagine you should get some sort of dedicated graphics unless you already have one.
