INTEL ripoff

So i just faced this question a long time ago and just kept on getting evidence one is that COFFEE LAKE Processors were rushed into market due to AMD's rise back but what my point is do you think intel lost their magic with great and innovative cpu's i want to get your opinion if what intel did was a great move or just to get another cpu out their to compete with ryzen

There's a lot of topics similar to this. No one cares if it's rushed or not. Intel simply has higher base clocks core to core, but it comes at a higher cost. This should be the topic... is it worth paying that much extra for Intel chips when Ryzen can do close but not quite as much for a lower cost.

 

Both chips are fine, it comes down to what you plan on using them for and how much money you have in your wallet.

Coffee Lake is nice, so I think Intel has responded adequately to Ryzen on the consumer market.

Intel could have continued to produce better CPU's, yes. Problem is that AMD would not have been able to make a comeback like this and Intel may have had to separate itself to ensure that a monopoly doesn't occur. @SpaceGhostC2C would know more about monopolies than I would. 

 

If Intel didn't innovate (as they haven't), AMD could release a beastly chip (plagued by small issues that they've had long enough to iron out) that would shake the market. 

 

Also, CFL was planned long ago for a release 1H18, the six months they pushed it forward by was likely due to this competition, but the chips themselves aren't a reaction to Ryzen.

Intel makes the highest performing CPUs in the world.  The competition isn't who makes the better chip.  The competition is decided simply how intel decides to prices their products.  AMD just poked the bear, for that I am thankful.

x299 is awesome, but expensive for the good stuff.  Guys are just now starting to get their 7980xe chips yesterday and today.  These things are unreal...demolishing Threadripper numbers.  4.7-4.8GHz on all 18 cores cool enough to stress test.

Not all of them. X299 quad cores (is the dual core 7360x still a thing?) are useless since launch, 7800x got K.O. by 8700k since it overclocked further with less PCIe lanes at lower prices. The high end stuff performed well, but for buyers of CPU with so many cores, single thread performance is no longer a dominant factor.
