S8 Help please!

I have the samsung galaxy S8, upgrade from the S3, and im having some issues. I get texts from my messenger app, and my hangouts apps, clash of clans, and 360. though the only app i dont get ANY notifications, is snapchat. ive uninstalled it, reinstalled, and once in awhile,  my screen will light up (once in like 50 snaps if i ever get to that in a day) and it doesnt show up in my notification bar, or wake screen like i have it set in the notifications access in the app itself. 

 

in snapchat, i got 

-Enable notifications

-Wake Screen

and

-Blink LED

all checked. yet the phone does none of these. 

please help

I don't use Snapchat, but I would make sure that notifications are enabled inside the app itself.

please re-read what i posted.

ah, my mistake. In that case, I assume you also have these set in the phone's notification settings panel?

in the phone apps. notifications, there are sliders. blue is on, grey is off. snapchat, messenger, and hangouts is all blue

If you tap on a specific app inside that screen it will open up additional options for that app. Make sure "show silently" is off and make sure your lock screen settings are the way you want them.

those settings are on. i just checked the one saying "set as priority" see if that helps

The only thing I can think of now is just to make sure your phone isn't on silent mode. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.
