Hey Guys,

I'm currently using a QNAP TS-451+ as an file, media and plex server but as of late I've noticed that it couldnt really handle full hd transcoding all that well so I wanted to build my own NAS as an upgrade. As OS I wanted to use OMV. Problem is, I can't really decide which platform to choose.
first idea:
CPU: Ryzen 3 1200

MB:  ASRock AB350M Pro4

Netzteil: Corsair SF450SFX

RAM: 8GB DDR4 should be plenty

Case: Fractal Design Node 304

second:
Well practically the same but using a Intel Pentium G4560 and the Gigabye GA-B250;-DS3H

third idea:
My main PC currently has a i7 4790k which im planing to upgrade in the coming generation(getting those sweet cores :D ), i could then use that old cpu for my nas, but that would be kinda overkill and no exactly power efficient xD

So guys what do you think of my 3 ideas? Which do you think would suit my use-case the most?
Also do you guys know how the ryzen 3 1200 and the pentium g4560 compare power consumptioin wise?

Yeah seems like the most direct solution, but in that case I'd still need a new micro itx motherboard since im currently using a atx one but don't want the nas to use up that much space.

Got any suggestions for a good micro itx motherboard with at least 4 sata 6gb/s ports?
