 how to consume 4k content with a ryzen  7 , 1080ti and a 4k monitor? like netflix or am i screwed becuase intel and microsoft? 

this doesnt mean locally stored 4k content

Intel did not pay for exclusivity.

Here is an article that's about 6 months old talking about how Nvidia has enabled 4K Netflix playback in their latest beta driver.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has already launched.

 

There are a lot of restrictions though. SLI doesn't work with it, and as soon as you have a monitor plugged in that's not HDCP 2.2 compliant it will change to a lower resolution.

how do i know if my monitor is HDCP 2.2 compliant
