H60 Current Version Performing Under Spec

I have a Corsair H60 AIO water cooler for my i5 7600K. I was previously having problems with the cooler not working properly. I figured it was a seating issue and reinstalled the cooler. It still is hitting 100 degrees Celsius at stock while under heavy load. I noticed that the standoff mounting screws were loose but I was unable to tighten them further. Does anyone know what going on here?

If your hitting 100C your CPU should protect itself and you should crash. It almost sounds like it could be temperatures could be wrong. Whats your current clock on the chip, voltage, ect.

When you touch the tubes, can you feel the pump working?

agree put your ear to the pump and see if its doing anything at all or if its making weird rattling noises, these older corsair AIOs really had shitty pumps

It takes 5 minutes to hit 100 degrees C. Then, it throttles down and maintains 100. I'm at stock speeds.

I just did. I can feel the water moving.

I don't hear anything but a jet engine fan.

The tubes were actually kinda cool. I've been using it for only a half a year or so.

Try getting a few noctua or similar fans, the included ones are awful

I try  In all seriousness though I switched from an H60 to an H80i with the same fans and got a 30c drop

the h80i has a much better pump, thats why

Nah, first gen H80i uses the exact same pump.  It's the radiator being 30% thicker and way higher FPI

Well, I just opened it back up and squirted in about a half pound of thermal goo and I'm running at 50 degrees with fans on 1/3 speed.
