Hey guys, I just got into dota 2 and I need a recommendation for a ranged easy to play hero because I absolutely hate melee.

Windrunner/Drow Ranger if you want a bit of more strategic long range

Sniper for beginners.

I'd recommend playing all random and just play with the heroes you get. But if you want ranged, I'd suggest Windranger, Distruptor, Ancient Apparition (cheapest ult in the game, imo) and Sniper. Depends if you like taking responsibility to carry or not, though.

I randomed night stalker and kept dying :/

Personally I would go with Viper, but all the above recommendations are good :) Just pick the one you of the ones we have recommended ;)

Sniper for beginners.

I tried sniper and drow ranger, maybe I'll try windrunner next round.

I kept KSing with Viper and my friends are furious with me about it, I got 20 kills and 0 deaths just now with viper so viper is a no no.

Stop recommending lich, you're going to make all of the beginners think the game is boring.

I would recommend, as supports, someone who can roam. Babysitting the carry isn't super important in low level games as people won't use the farm properly. Pick Lion, Venge or Lina. Get kills in lane, gank.

Anything, just read the skills, the more hero you play, the better understanding of the game you'll have.

....TC picks meepo next game,

GG.

but seriously, anything you want, read up some guides in dotafire for specific heroes.

read welcome to dota you suck for general information

Sven is a tank and can deal loads of damage, so I'd recommend him. I often use the guides for hereos I haven't played before. There's an icon you can click at the top left while in game to bring up the highest rated builds. These can be really handy because they highlight which abilities to unlock throughout leveling. I mostly play single draft now because it gives me lots of new hereos to play.

dont play sniper. People say its a beginner hero just because it has 2 skills. I can tell you its not

The hero it self is easy to use, but is extremely hard to keep positioning right. Its slow as fuck, no escape mech, and it doesnt build into ms items. If you are playing against someone slightly better than you, you are gonna get stomped.

I recommend to play something like bounty hunter, or other invis heroes. Or str like dragon knight.

For range intelligence, all easy supports will do. Lich, Wich doctor, cristal maiden, etc

I started playing Dota 2 not too long ago. First few rounds I played with Sniper and I actually find Zeus pretty fun.
