Hello,

So I'm having some issues with the indexing of programs for the search. So if I now search for steam it finds it instant ion the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" folder. but if I search Spotify which is in the same folder it only finds SpotifyInstaller which is in the downloads folder.

And if I search skype which is also in the same folder it takes 10-15 sec for it to find it. I have just reindexed.

Anyone who can help? I'm also in contact with Microsoft, but they are really slow at responding.

I stop using search since Windows 7, cause the new search sucks. And Indexing destroy the life of my SSDs by constantly accessing the files for indexing.

Well, I don't like having files on my desktop.

I don't have files on my desktop either. And your entire OS is on the C:\ not just your "Desktop".

What does the OS have to do with the desktop? what I mean is I don't like having files spread all over the "the start" also known as "desktop" which is what it's called

"The Start"? Now is that the Start Menu or or just Start screen, first featured in Windows 8, also known as Metro UI. When you mentioned desktop, I thought you mean having files all over your desktop, aka all over your monitor screen. The files on your monitor like shortcut is located in a folder called "Desktop", under your user account.
