CPU VS GPU

Hello everyone, i am an 3D artist and i want know how fast is AMD CPU Threadripper compared to Nvidia GTX 1080Ti in Blender 3D, and also a portable solution with an decent laptop &thunderbolt 3 with egpu is ok? I never seen a direct comparison CPU vs GPU, also it would be great if Linus could do a video for 3D artists with all the details and stuff, AMD PRO  32gb vers. vs GTX 1080ti, price vs price, spec etc...

nice stuff, i would like to buy an AMD TR that why i made this post, so AMD TR > 1080? WHAT IF THERE WERE 2x GPU 1080 only CUDA Cores?, i think the best pair would be AMD TR + 2x 1080 or AMD PRO 32GB

however a x2 AMD TR MOTHERBOARD would be GOD LIKE!!! :D I hope Linus see this, with his power he can convince the motherboard companys to make such an out of this world tool...
