It is actually pretty good, similar to IC Diamond from what I have heard. And if you have some why not? I wouldnt change it but if you already have it I would use it in future systems.

Alright thanks. I'll have to give it a try and see if it helps at all :P

The main reason I use higher end thermal paste is because it takes longer to crack and go bad.   But theres no performance difference, because if I'm building someone a system I need to know its going to last.

The Antec Formula 6 / 7 are actually quite good (I've switched over to the Formula 7 after years of using Arctic Silver 5).

Just a useful tip:
The paste is very thick! I suggest you put the tube in a re-sealable bag and dip it in some hot-warm water to soften it up before applying.

Well, I either did something terribly wrong, or the cooler is bad. Because it's idling at 54*C to 60*c. SH!T

Take a look:

I did to make sure that it would get a nice even spread

What CPU are cooler are you using??

Why are your cores at different frequencies and voltages? (Do you have....i.e Cool 'n Quiet enabled?)

AMD is like in control of my cpu, I can't change the clock speeds or voltages. And I have to use the stock cooler for now.

Do you have any of the power-saving features...or whatnot on? Examples:

- Turbo Core

- Cool 'n Quiet

- PowerNow!

- C1E

The stock cooler should be adequate in keeping the CPU cool at stock speeds. Once you overclock it, that's a different story.

If I recall....the CPU cooler on the 2nd generation APUs (i.e. like your A8-5600K) should have a similar cooler to what the 1st generation APUs (i.e. like my A6-3670K)....which is an aluminum heatsink - no copper heatpipes, just aluminum fins.
