Help with setting up Hotmail/outlook account on Mail (MacOS)

I hope I am in the right forum to ask this question but if I'm not, please do move it to the appropriate forum.

 

So, after I updated my MacBook to High Sierra, my Hotmail and outlook account on Mail stopped working (it's basically offline and won't sign in no matter how). Gmail and iCloud work fine btw. I've tried removing the account and adding them again but it just won't sign in. I am at my wits end right now and desperately need any help. Feel free to ask me anything I may have glanced over.
