i made a new pc and it keeps on turning on and off byitself i have not installed any bios or stuff like that(it hasnt given me a chance to see anything)it stays on for 12 secs and turns off and this process repeats.I took everything out and tested it with the motherboard,cpu,cpu cooler and ram still the same result 

btw i may have but too less thermal paste on but it has been on long enough to heat up

So its failing to boot based on something not clearing. So reseat all the components, make sure all power cables are plugged in, then see what it does and get back to us.

check ur motherboard user Manuel, it might have some explanation.

use one stick of RAM and try all the RAM slots.
