Air cooling vs AIO solution

Go to solution Solved by LIGISTX,

Yea, gaming load isn't really that intense. Honestly a 212 evo with a 3770k @ say 4.5 ghz, if its a average chip, shouldn't push more than 65c under gaming load. Most likely wont even get that high, high 50's is my guess :)

Depends personally I would go for watercooling if you are going to Oc alot, if your going to just do a casual overclock (Depends on silicon lottery) Especially with gene get h220 (If its avaliable in your country)

Hope I could help!

H220 is one hell of a good option. It will out perform any air cooler as well as the h100i. The 100i will outperform just about any air cooler as far as I know, and has some really cool functionality (corsair link). I would go with water, because water also really helps bring ambient case temps down, all the heat is kicked right out of the case.

I reccomend Air. The NH-D14 has good temps and is dead quiet. With air you also take away the small risk of liqid leaking in your valuable components.

This is true, but there have been like, just a handful of AIO coolers that have leaked last I heard. The one h50 (back when they were new) that leaked, corsair replaced all damaged parts. I have been running an old school h50 for 4 years, still goin strong!

My NH-U14s keeps my 4770K extremely cool with my light overclock.. I probably wouldn't go with an aircooler if you want to really push your CPU to it's max, but the aircoolers are definitely good enough for a light or medium overclock..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

I can get the h220 where i live!

And how about pairing it up with a couple of noctua fans? Like some nf-f12?

Is it worth the money or ill just get a couple of less degrees for 30€?

NDH14, PHTC14PE, or Dark rock pro 2

if you want quiet, you go air. If you want performance, do it right and go water and not alcohol and additive product water cut preassembled and requires new fans black plastic peice of foolish loud prone to failure ugliness.

Depends. What's the system for?

ill use it for gaming for alot of hours straight

There's little point to paying so much for a cooler just to cool the cpu when what you're doing is gaming.

Something like a 212 Evo would be plenty for a decent oc that would be plenty for gaming.
