Help identifying asus 1070

Bringtherainn

Hi guys,

i sent end an offer to a seller with a asus 1070 that is being sold as-is because they do not know if it works or not. They had some miscellaneous electronics so they might be a bulk reseller so I gambled and they accepted my offer for 230 shipped. i just realized that the card is using what looks like a quadro cooler and I can't tell which model asus 1070 it is. Anyone have any ideas? I might back out of the purchase given the modified cooler..

Well it looks like it has a reference cooler of some sort due to the Nvidia logo. But the reference cooler looks NOTHING like the pictures. Maybe a mod of some sort?

Edit : on the 3rd picture it looks like the model is printed on the pcb.

Now this is an interesting Post

I cant exactly Reader what is printed over the pcie connection in pic 3, but the Last Thing says 8gb of gddr5 i think the second Last GTX 1070. Does the second say rew or rem. Because rew could stand for review what could mean that this is an early 1070 onlY for retailers Like Asus to Base their alterations of the Card in what would explain the uncommon cooler

am hungry

Why would you send $230 for it!?  If they don't know if it works or not, you have to assume it doesn't and not spend more than you're willing to for a broken card

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
