Which 1080ti board to get

tridy

Hello.

I need to decide which brand of 1080ti I want to buy for the coming Calyos NSG-S0 case. There are at least 10 possible options and I need some help here.

So, this would be similar to asking which 1080ti I should get if I want to watercool it, so I would not overpay for the fans that I would not be using.

They differ in price but I have no idea about the components quality used or if there is anything else I need to know and pay attention to before picking one with the best price.

Thanks.

iirc Zotac also uses reference boards for the GTX 1080Ti

that is unless you pick the AMP or the AMP Extreme

MSI Gaming is a different board altogether

Asus and Gigabyte are non-reference

i wouldent get the Zotac ones, low quality power components. 16 phases seems nice, but its no better then whats on most 8 phase boards and its massive. EVGA cards could be a good option, seeing as they allow you use custom cooling solutions without voiding waranty and have pretty good VRMs

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

any 1080 ti would do the job for your needs might be tight fit but probably any card

That is a strong point, I think.

Are there any other brands that allow that?

Thanks!

get all of them :P

some non reference brands have better VRMs allowing for better overclocking. Dual/tripple fan cools better with less noise.

Still reference ones can go far if you dont mind noise.

I will try to go for EVGA then (soon). If not, then MSI might be a second shot, according to this posting.

Thanks for the help!
