Stuttering in CS:GO

Ever since i got my 1060 6GB, the game keeps freezing randomly for like 50ms, happens every 2-3 minutes. but it sometimes really messes the playing for me.

The CPU is an Intel Core i5-3550.

Launch options are -threads 4 -freq 144 +mat_queue_mode 2 -novid -high

also, what gpu did you have before the 1060? Did you uninstall its drivers?

I had a GTS 450, i used DDU to uninstall it's old drivers.

Would a 5400 rpm HDD be it's cause?

Then i'll move it tonight, the launch options only took a big bite of of the fps, standing near the smoke can sometimes dip it under 144Hz which i don't want to happen.

the drive speed doesn't affect fps in any meaningful way

set fps_max 0 in console when u launhch the game

Just realized that the game was on a 7200RPM drive not 5400 one

could be of a weak gpu too

His problem isn't the launch options. It's the stuttering.

i had a similar problem, solved it by disabling multi core rendering. you should disable launch options too

Ye it did, but the FPS can dip below 144 without the launch options if i am standing near a smoke and a lot of shooting is happening.

Cs is cpu dependant not gpu. What settings are you playing at?

The CPU is maxed out, because i play on 5:4 1280x1024 and It's an old Ivy bridge CPU

well it's still a quad core i5

that's where the problem is at though. you are being bottlenecked
