Running a second monitor barely uses any GPU power.

Just take a look at your CPU usage with it plugged in vs unplugged, no difference.

PhysX is a waste of power, don't bother with it. I would say sell it so you can get a more powerful single primary card. 1070 will be good, maybe a 1080?

I think a 1070 should be able to handle both monitors, but if you really want to be safe, a 1080 could be helpful to output the 144Hz.

Thanks, then i'll just sell the old one :)

Hey,

I want to upgrade my graphics card, since it is a bit outdated (geforce GTX 760). I have the possibility of selling my old or keeping it. I have a 2K, 144hz monitor (main) and full hd 60 hz (secondary). and would like a steady 144 hz on my main monitor when playing AAA games. Since i have two monitors i thought it might be useful to have two cards, so when gaming, my new gpu wouldn't have to run both monitors (Only use one for gaming and the second for facebook, information and alike. My old could also run PhysX or something. I of course wouldn't run it in SLI, so my question is, should i sell my old and maybe go from gtx 1060 to 1070 (haven't decided what gpu i want) or keep it and use as secondary gpu.

Thanks in advance
