How long does UV stay effective in Coolant?

Looking at changing my coolant since the red I had was not my thing so I have switched off red coolant all together.

So my question is how long does the uv effect last in the coolant I don't mind switching distilled water out every 6 months etc

UV coolant should last as long as the fluid but it can degrade or loose some of it's effect overtime. There are different factors that can affect it's effect mainly PH change and exposure to sunlight which can commonly degrade it.
