display for a GTX 970M

so, im looking for a display to connect to my laptop when i have longer gaming sessions. The laptop has a GTX 970M 3GB. now i know it would not be able to really push 4K, so whats my options?

G-sync is a must, would 2K or 120HZ, or 1080p ultra wide be my best option? TIA.

I have the same GPU in my laptop. I would say a 1080p Ultrawide would be good. Just make sure to disable your laptop screen while using the ultra wide. I would think it would reduce some stress on the GPU

G-Sync turns off when your framerate is above the monitor's refresh rate, so actually it doesn't do anything at all at high framerates, it is only useful at low framerates.

Oh well I googled it and it's a timing thing

it;s still expensive as hell though for a 24 inch monitor
