GTX 1050Ti or RX 560

Od1sseas

While the GTX 1050Ti is definitely superior, I do not think it is that superior to justify a 50EUR price hike.

I saw many comparisons on YouTube and the 1050Ti gives like 10FPS more... 5€ for 1 FPS.... :\

its never really a specific fps boost, it all depends on the games.. some games are better on the 560, and some are better on the 1050 ti,

but i would definitely 100% recommend you spending that extra 50 to get a 1050 ti, or just find a used 1050 ti for a good price, used parts arent always shtty, just make sure when did he buy it, and why is he selling it(he could be selling it cuz its broken or something) so check if its working correctly.., and check if it still has its warranty paper work thingies..

If you can get a good price on a 970, then I'd recommend that card over both of those cards. A 970 preforms comparably to a RX 570, and in many cases cases out preforms the 1050ti by 15-30fps. IMO the 1050ti is just too expensive for what it does.

Depends on if you can dish it out - the boost will sometimes give you the edge and a solid 60fps - up to you. Here some maths for you.

Random figures from different benchmarks - average fps

1050ti 72 fps Rx 560 65fps DOOM

1050ti 53 fps Rx 560 43fps GHOST RECON

1050ti 55 fps Rx 560 52fps SNIPER ELITE 4 (DX12 - new)

1050ti 42 fps Rx 560 33fps ASHES OF SINGULARITY (DX12 - new)

1050ti 111 fps Rx 560 87fps ASHES OF SINGULARITY

1050ti 103 fps Rx 560 76fps GTA - HIGH Settings

1050 ti fps sum = 436frames in total / (170x6(tests))euro = 0.427 price to performance

rx 560 sum =  356 frames in total / (120x6)euro= 0.494 price to performance

so that is what you pay and recieve....

as I said the 1050ti might just give you the edge if you can pay, up to your from now.

I don't think you understand how performance scales in crossfire, 2 x 560 would be about the 1050ti performance to begin with then it'd be 120$ plus instead of 50$ not to mention the necessity for a more expensive compatible motherboard and PSU all adding to costs resulting in this being completely pointless.

Reason why nVidia themselves tells people not to SLI 1050/1060 and just buy a 1070 or higher.

I've got a seemingly 560 performing bios on my 460 and I'm happy with my 1080p/1440p performance in AAA titles but the performance is still what you'd expect for the cards. I missed out on my 1050ti opportunity, as all the comparisons I've seen between the 560 and 1050ti favor Nvidia. If you don't mind sub-60 frames for a better deal, go 560. If you actually care more about frames than your wallet go 1050ti. Choice is yours
