NZXT hue issues

So I recently bought the NZXT hue and I installed it into my computer today. However the lights won't come on. (Fig-1

please note that the ref lights are from the case not the hue) Not only that but the interface is  completely different to what I'm used to seeing on YouTube. (Fig-2) I set up the Hue exactly how the instructions said too so I don't really know. If you have any ideas why it's not working I would love to hear them.

Did you plug the connector backwards into your LED strip??
