hello i have a bit of a problem with my hd audio cables i have a 9 pin hd audio cable with the second to the right pin blanked out on the bottom this came with the case .but on my mother the 9 pin lay out is different its the last pin on the bottom left that blanked so theirs no way it will fit as it is. my question is can i drill out the blanking on my cable with out destroying something when i power it up only the cable has loads of wire that wired up differently to another hd audio cable i have that doesn't fit my case. but fits my motherboard

one is USB 2.0 and not audio i think. There should be the correct header somewhere on the board. what board are you using?

Your correct the right one is USB2.0 front pannel

Also, why do you need front audio when you apparently have an amp?

it's under the bottom pci-e slot there no shroud around the header like the usb headers

It will be the one lable AAFP. I believe it stands for AcAudioFrontPanel
