I am very new to this. Just wanted to get some thoughts from y'all on cpu/gpu/mb and whatnot. This will primarily be used for gaming and intend to use two monitors at 144hz at least FHD but not necessarily higher.

troll builds not allowed...

if this is supposed to be legit at least make it believable ... 7820X with a f**king 212? 2 1070s for 1080p? X299 for FHD GAMING? wtf is this bs...

to top it off you said FHD not higher but put a 1440p monitor.

thanks, what should I be looking for in regards to cooling an 8 core that's not water?

Nothing. If you don't want to use water you basically cant use the new line-ups as they're hot as hell. If you need 8 cores and dont want to use water then go with a Ryzen build, those can be cooled by even mid range air coolers just fine. Otherwise go with a 7700k and nice air cooler

If it's just for gaming why a 7820x? That's worse than a 7700k for gaming...

As well why a titanium psu? Why such a cheap case with such an expensive pc? And why 1070 sli instead of 1080 ti?

This is why he is asking us to critique it. If something is wrong (theres a lot here but still) say so and explain why. Don't just ask questions as though the OP knows the answer.

lol this is why I'm posting this...so why exactly is a 7700 better for gaming? Is Kaby Lake just better for gaming than skylake? The case Is just an idea of the look I want, but as for 1070 v 1080 ti jist price really.

1070 sli is pretty close in price to 1080 ti ;). In fact, I might say 1070 sli costs a bit more.

Get a 7700k/r7 1700 for the CPU.

Get a 1080ti for the graphics card.

You only need 16GB of ram.

You don't need a "titanium" PSU, a tier one PSU from the PSU tier list will work.

Get a nicer case with tempered glass maybe.

Get a blu ray drive instead? I mean why not.

two 1070's cost more than a 1080ti. Also the 7700 is better because most games only need 4 cores, unlike the 7820x which has 8 core and is more content creation oriented.

7700k would do better for gaming + 212 evo won't be able to cool the 7820x well, and you don't need that thermal paste.

why 32gb of ram? 16gb is enough for just gaming.

get one 1080ti instead of 2 1070s.

get a g-sync monitor instead of a freesync monitor.

Budget is 3500-4000 total. Purchase once I learn enough to formulate what exactly I want lol so about a month. mostly for gaming, but considering streaming in future. prolly do one FHD monitor for gaming and one 2k for everything else.

For gaming today, this is what I would suggest. BUT, Coffeelake is coming in October (so close to when you'd be buying) and is rumored to be a 6core/12thread mainstream I7, which is what I would suggest waiting for if you want to stream.
