Okay, so basically the games i play on my pc is H1.OW,PUBG. around december my pc would sometimes freeze while the game was running. I was told it could be driver updates that i needed to do and amd always has so many fkn updates but i just dont think thats the problem. So basically when my pc freezes, the game on my main monitor goes completely black but i can still hear the game sound. My second monitor which usually has like discord and spotify opened freezes completely, my peripherals are still lit up and stuff but my mouse doesn't work because my pc is obviously frozen. Although my second monitor is frozen i can still hear spotify but discord freezes. It's the weirdest thing ever, I checked my temps and my temps are perfect on my pc. It's only a year old..

Thanks!

  1. Try running rivaTuner on top of games to see if you're getting bottlenecked anywhere.
  2. What type of storage do you have? Sometimes windows does random things and just freezes.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

clean install of Graphics driver

I'm trying to uninstall my currently drivers. I deleted everything in my PC that had to do with AMD and un-installed the drivers. When I restart my PC, the drivers are still there...

I run a r9 390, but I am unsure what Radeon Software Crimson ReLive is called under windows program removal.
Maybe find the download online and do a custom install, rather than express and if it asks to keep any settings, do not keep any current settings.

Edit: I believe the download is found at http://www.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-software
