Planning to build my first gaming PC - looking to get at least 60 FPS in all games at highest settings (using only the ASUS monitor as my main monitor). The parts marked as purchased are just old bits I found. Any advice or suggestions are highly appreciated thanks!

Also the 580 is going to be expensive for a long time and unless you want the freesync, a 1060 is better priced rn

Thanks yeah I'm getting the 580 instead of the 1060 because FreeSync monitors are a lot cheaper than G-Sync ones but I am planning on waiting until the cryptocurrency mining craze calms down to buy it.

Youre going to be waiting a few months then but other than the motherboard, i think its fine. 聽Don't know if you like logitech's switches but i have the corsair rgb strafe and I know that, the k70 and k95 are great

1 more thing, the razer mouse probably isnt worth $60. I got a logitech g502 for $50 (its usually $70 and its great) so i recommend that

If you can, I would go for another 8 gb of RAM. Either another 2x4, or you could just go for a 2x8 in the first place. Other than that, looks like a 1080p beast. You could even do some 1440p with this build, imo. Maybe not maxed settings, but definitely High.聽

Everything I know I learned from the internet. Also school.聽

So apparently yeah the mobo has a bad rep so what do you guys think of the聽Gigabyte GA-AB350-GAMING 3?

Gigabyte's B350 boards have even worse VRMs. Only the MSI B350M Gaming Pro is worse.聽

If you don't overclock, or if you point a fan at the heatsink, it should be fine, though
