90 degree sata cable?

2 sata cables came with my motherboard, 1 has straight connectors on both ends and the other has a 90 degree on one end and a straight one on the other, does it matter where I plug in the 90 degree one (motherboard or storage device)?It looks far more useful for storage devices than for the motherboard.

they work the same in either direction. I myself use a 90 deg on my HDD because it's right next to the top of the case and about 1cm clearance to the PSU..

Yes. Some ports aren't designed to take that much heat. You'll want to make sure that yours are capable of handling temperatures that high.
