AMD Ryzen 3 or Pentium G4560?

Gaurav S Rao

Hey Guys,Finally I'm gonna be upgrading from the sh*t PC of mine to a proper gaming pc,budget of around 25000-40000 INR (but if anything good on the cheap so i can keep my budget minimum as possible) So for my birthday instead of me getting a console,my parents can make the budget big for a pc,so what should I pick? G4560 or Ryzen 3? I want to game at 1080p (preferably high-ultra settings) on most games, and I've come down to the choice of either a R3 (probably 1200) and the Pentium G4560,but which is better for the money/gaming.I'd like to pair it with either a 1050 or a 1050 TI.I'm a gamer and haven't got into serious gaming yet... because my laptop/PC can't handle it.I preferably want 8 or more GB of RAM,a 1 TB HDD (since i have a 120 GB Kingston SSD)

and a nice looking case with a good enough PSU.

Thanks

i would still recommend going with the R3, because it has more cores, and you can overclock it very well(Ryzen series is unlocked)

Go with R3, and then pick some B350 motherboard so you can OC your CPU.

Those motherboard are fairly cheap.

ummn, not really cheaper than the G4560 one,but overclocking is the key,but the cpu costs 50% more than a G4560 here

You'll get slightly better gaming performance with the g4560 right now, but the r3 1200 is definitely much more capable when it comes to any other kind of workload, and future games will probably be better optimised for zen in the future. I'd recommend you go with the r3 1200 if you can afford it.

Once overclocked, R3 1200 will be almost 40% faster. Now it's up to you, if you want to pay extra 50$ more to get that performance bump. I would go with R3 1200 for sure, but then again I don't value my money when it comes to PC parts.

For Intel build, dual channel ram gives slight advantage & I selected a good mobo which has 4 dim & also amazing I/o . slight better gpu so you can max out 1080p hight to ultra setting gaming. you can buy used i5/i7 to throw in at future.

second option is ryzen, if you choose ryzen thinking of upgrade path then you need to have an atx b350 mobo .r3 1200 is ok with micro atx b350 boards but due to their worst vrm, the higher core cpu wont be suitable on matx boards at future. so if you want to upgrade cpu at future you need to buy board again which makes it same level as pentium. ryzen prefers faster ram too. this is the least you should go with when you think of ryzen build.

Ok,there are wierd price difference between PCPP and actual Amazon. So I'm gonna buy the stuff from a local shop which they have a b350m-k 8 gb ddr4 hynix, and a and r3 1200 and they have cases with PSU for any budget, just I wonder where will I get my 1050 ti,my dad's onto searching other places for the best deal, sorry for the late replies @Fardin @Simon771 and @Raziq_26,btw will a 1050 ti be able to handle old games (nfs) like NFSMW 2005,etc at 4K Medium-Max settings? My dad might buy a 4k tv and even my laptop with 1st gen Intel HD graphics can run me 2005 at nearly max and nfs carbon (2006) at medium,1366x768

Thanks

hey bro, do you mean psu that comes with cases? if that so please avoid those. your pc's performance wont depend on case so get the cheapest possible but I recommend you to get a good psu from any reliable brand. even a decent 350w unit psu can fulfill your need. for gpu, wait & get 1050ti when you can, but it wont be able to do 4k gaming, for older & indie games yeah maybe some, but the experience wont be good.

STOP! Don't get those PSU that come with cases. Both the case and the PSU will be of shitty quality. Get them yourself. Don't cheap out on your power supply. Get a quality case as well. One that will last long enough for future upgrades. Don't cheap out on your Power Supply!
