which PSU for overlocking?

hello everyone ,

please help me..

 

i build gaming pc with

 

 gtx 1080 ti

z270 msi m5

i7 7700k

h110i v2

16gb ram dominator

1tb sdd samsung (1 slot currently)

3tb wd green hdd (1 slot currently)

3fans

corsair m65 mouse

k95 rgb keyboard

 

i plan to buy corsair ax860i .

is it enough and safe for overlocking core & vga? if not please give me recommendation which psu should i buy.

You should roughly be around 470W at max load so the 860i is more than enough. You could even go for a 750W PSU if you don't plan to add another video card down the road!

 

PC Partpicker, when you add all your parts should give you a number for power draw!

An EVGA 650G2 would save you a hell of a lot of money.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

PSU max efficiency is rated at 50% load. So the AX850i is the better option for a 470w load. The 750w PSU is  also a good  option. 

 

I´ll go with the 850.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it. :D
