No, you are not crazy. That is an excellent choice for gaming. Might want to consider the i5 - 7600k to save some cash while still having great gaming performance.

 

Or get a Ryzen 5 1600.

Also, just a heads up. I'd swap the MSI Armor card because it has no backplate and mediocre cooling. Based on your selection of parts, I can see that you want a nice looking build so I reccomend changing the GPU to another GTX 1070 like MSI Duke, Asus Strix, MSI Gaming X or an EVGA card, just make sure it has a backplate.

Right. Reccomend a motherboard please then. I want an M.2 slot for upgradablility and preferably 2 HDMI cause I've got a line on a pair of 100hz 1080p displays for free.

I recommend ASRock for everything unless you have aura sync components then get an asus board (unless it doesn't have RGB)

It should. The strips would work if they have the 4 pin rgb header but idk that the fans have that header... What fans?
