So I just built a new system with Corsair's 3000 Mhz Vengeance RGB Memory thrown on an ASUS Prime X370-Pro. Working with a Ryzen 1600X being cooled by the Kraken X52 AIO. I'm going to RMA most of this system anyway because of various issues, but I was curious to know this following. I'm new to actually paying attention to temps, and I'm also new to water cooling.

Is it considered normal for the stock Ryzen 1600X with an AIO to run at the following temps:

Idle: ~42 C

Under 100% Load: ~68 C

(Temperatures recorded with Ryzen Master)

I see my OC'd 1600 around there with a 240mm rad. Gonna change pastes to see if it helps, but mine idles around 36 -48c. Like it spikes in Ryzen Master to the high 40's like a second and drops to mid 30s

Um. Well,

1) My Asus Aura RGB header is really messed up. Been searching for hours on a solution to no avail. Kinda the reason I got the board (along with SLI and a few other things)

2) Three times so far while having the aura sync lighting set to respond to music, the whole system trips, my monitors turn off, and all the lighting on my AIO, Memory, and MB freeze. I loose power in my Mouse and Keyboard, and I can't turn off my system. I literally have to throw the switch on the PSU to turn it off. This actually happened, causing the first issue.

3) I'm not sure about those temps.

You want to RMA the board just because of RGB? Cmon, it is the best bang for your buck AM4 mobo with amazing VRM.

Reinstall Aura with the latest version available, check BIOS settings for Aura as well. Never had such issues with Aura on my more shittier mobo.

No this wasn't the whole issue. The board kept power cycling. I ended up returning it to Micocenter, and as it turns out when I returned it, they told me many others have had the same issue, and showed me 5 other boards that also got returned. Something's wrong with that board. As of right now, I upgraded to the ROG Strix X370-F Gaming MB, and it's doing very well.
