a short term solution

Hello. i have myself a gtx 285, but no thermal pads for the VRAM. I was wondering if it would matter if i put thermal paste on it instead for a while until i get new thermal pads, or just let them have contact with the heat sink. thank you for your time, and have a good day.

They problably arent actually touching or barely touching the heatsink. Id wait it out. Better to be safe then start a fire

well im not gaming on it, just basic web browsing, and maybe a few videos

Personally I wont risk it, 285 is a hot and power hungry card from what I remember.
