1080p 60hz graphics card

jerodev

I'm building a new gaming/allround computer with a ryzen cpu, but now I also need a new graphics card.

The one I have been wanting for some months is an RX 580, but the cheapest I can find it to get it in Belgium is about €450...

So I thought about getting an GTX 1060 6G. I heard the performance is a little lower than the RX 580, but the price is about €100 less and it is in stock.

My question is, knowing that I have a 1080p monitor with a refresh rate of 60hz, would I even notice the differences between these cards?

And, are both cards future proof for a few years?

The RX 580 8gb and the GTX 1060 6gb or more or less equally as fast. Which one is faster depends on the game. Both will last you around 2ish years

Yea, take the GTX 1060 6gb, as a decent Custom model.

Pretty much similar Performance, and consuimes only 120 Watt, instead 200 Watt.

Both are fine for a 60 fps Lock in ultra settings in 1080 in most games, and slightly reduced settings (1 step down) in some Graphic intense ones.

As long you don't have any Problems with the Settings NOT sitting at hardcore-Ultra, you can use both Cards for easy 3-4 years.

I would normally recommend an rx 4/580, but in this case with the prices as they are, get the 1060.

I always use Vsync because i'm using 60-75Hz monitor it can't display more than 75fps, I'm using APU with iGPU build in because i'm so cheap.
