1700X cooler

Hello everyone, so i've bought the AMD 1700x and a MSI B350 PC MATE motherboard with the HyperX 2133MHz DDR4 Ram. I now need a cooler, i will not overclock it. The cooler i want to be as cheap as possible but still perform. I'd like to stay under 80C under full load. Thanks in advance.

Should have bought a 1700 in the first place. Similar overclocked performance and a decent stock cooler (even with a ring of RGB lights).

Do you need a low profile cooler?

I have not bought the processor yet but i've bought the motherboard and ram. I'm buying the 1700X because i'd rather not overclock because i have no experience in it at all. But if you overclock the 1700 to perform as the 1700X wouldn't i have to buy a new cooler anyway because of the overclocking? And size does not really matter it will be in the Fractal design refine R5.

Do not get that motherboard, especially for R7. Its real crap. Also, the ram is too shitty for Ryzen,

Your mobo´s VRM will overheat. They are designed for 65W CPU max. Change the mobo and get faster ram as well.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

The stock cooler should be fine.

Sorry, forgot that the 1700x doesn't come with a CPU cooler.

Hey, is it that important to buy a new motherboard? And if it is a must then what other cheap motherboard would you recommend? And also would changing the ram make that big of a difference?

The VRM on that MSI piece of sh*t is so weak it will overheat with 1700X just at stock settings. Any overclocking would kill the board in few months.

For Ryzen 7, i recommend at least Asus Prime X370 Pro if you want cheap or ASRock X370s.

Avoid Gigabyte and MSI motherboards completely.

Faster RAM makes gaming performance much higher because there is less latency between the cores.

Noctua NH-U12S isn't a bad cooler, or consider the NH-U14S

Okey, thanks alot for the help man. Do you think i should change to the 1700X to the 1700 because the price difference where i'm at is like 60-70$ dollars. If i were to change to 1700 the setup would be like this. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/q7yG8K Now all i need is a good cooler for the max price of around 60$ :)

The Strix is not optimal for Ryzen 7, you cannot overclock R7 on any B350 without roasting the VRM. If you dont mind $25, get Asus Prime X370 Pro. It is way better choice than B350-F for R7

Hey sorry, i was suppose to have the Prime X370-Pro on the list i think i missclicked or something. So i think i'll be going for this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zFMjzM since i have no experience what so ever in overclocking and would like to not make any misstakes. The PC will be for my brother and that's why. Is the ram fine or should i change the ram to ram with higher MHz? And thanks alot for all the help you've given me.

Just checked and realized that the Prime X370-Pro will only work with

2400 MHz, 2133 MHz, 2666 MHz, 2933 MHz (O.C.), 3200 MHz (O.C.) so i'll have to find other ram. What Mhz do you suggest?
