PNY GTX 970 still worth it?

Hey guys, I found a PNY XLR8 GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card VCGGTX9704XPB for $220, brand new, off of amazon. I was wondering if this card is still worth getting. I plan to build a custom gaming pc for my siblings. Able to play triple A titles at medium- high at most. Is this card still worth it, or should I wait?

For $220, you should get a 1060 3GB.

Does it come with warranty and how long? It might be older than a 1060 3gb but performance is similar. If it has everything a new card has then it's a viable choice.

I would never buy any 970 in 2017.
