i truly agree with you that its better, and i should save up for it, but the thing is that im 14 years old, so i pretty much cant work to get money atm cuz there's school(actually its starting in 3 days), so there's no source of income for me.. so its either i go with the b350 or i sacrifice something in the build and get an x370

Do you need R7? You could get R5 1600, Asus B350-F Strix and decent SSD.

ill be honest with you, i truly dont know if i will need it, because i never tried the 1700 nor the 1600, but alot of people told me that these 2 extra cores could help out ALOT if im gonna be streaming games, and editing my videos(not at the same time)

This is very dumb thinking. Stop it. I know what am i doing. B350s reach 90°C at VRMs with R7 at 1.32V

No it isn't. You are talking like all B350 boards will burst into flames. Of course there are poor B350 boards but you don't need to go X370 in order to overclock.

They could help but seriously, you are 14, cheaping out on important parts and want to stream while going to school. Seems wrong to me

You dont need, but you will fry them. Even the best are frying. My last call, then taking out my thermal data.

Then you must be doing something wrong. There are plenty of people running B350 boards that have overclocked cpu's.

This only applies to R7 8core. No to 6 cores. Trust me, i did the calculations and saw the specs sheets. If a youtuber overclocks on the cheapest B350 in best buy it doesnt mean it is good to do. I can bring 10 people who will confirm. One guy already fried Tomahawk with R7 after 3 months running overclocked.

As long as you have a good cooling solution the R7 isn't any harder to keep cool than the R5. Even the stock cooler can handle an overclock. He will be fine with something like the Asus B350 Prime Plus.

im gonna be using the included stock cooler(wraith spire), and if i EVER overclock(which is a meh, so like 30% chance that imma overclock it in the future, to probably 3.4 ghz just to be safe, even tho i know that i could go to 3.6 and still run at good temps with the stock cooler, but i just wanna be safe).

No. If u overclock the VRMs will overheat and eventually decrease the mobo´s lifespan

This is B350 with one of the best VRMs in B350

That is showing a worst case scenario though of a pretty much maxed out overclock @ 4.0 GHz and 1.4v. Even says so in the description.

The op will be fine going for an overclock of around 3.7GHz with a good cooler.

For your information, Tomahawk reaches 90 on heatsink with R7 at 1.35V. . .
