How do you transfer your OS from your old HDD?

 

I'm planning to buy a 120gb SSD and clearly can't transfer all my file on the SSD, I just want to put my OS into the SSD so my computer will run faster hopefully

couple of options for you

 

Use another external drive to transfer all your data off, music, movies, documents, those kinds of things, then look total amount used again. If you can get it well below 120gb you can then shrink the partition in disk management to less than 120GB and use the included software to clone the HDD to the SSD.

 

If that sounds too complicated, a fresh install of windows might be the easier way.
