I got this case to build my girlfriend a pc as a graduation gift. I want her to acend to the pcmasterrace from the console depths. She likes aliens so I saw the alienwere case striped for 2 bucks and thought it was good. However looking at it closer I don't know if this is a microatx case and all alienware has told me it's their specialized microatx which makes me think it won't fit any other micro. I know what parts I'm using I just want to see if anyone has dealt with one of these cases and how much a pain will cable management will be with this thing.

Measure the distance of the mounting standoffs and compare it to this:

If they're the same, you can use any microATX motherboard

EDIT: The diagram is in inches.

Sure looks like a standard mATX tray. It's tough to tell from the picture, but it appears there are two raised sections in the cpu area. If they are as tall as the standoffs they could be a problem as they might touch the underside of the motherboard.

The psu area looks a little short. You may need to use a 140mm long psu. I would suggest measuring the length. Allow for at least 25mm for cables if you are using a modular psu. Slightly less with a non-modular unit.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
